History of all senses
Contemporary music, cooking of medieval beer, demonstration of ceramics production, burning in a medieval kiln, production of tiles, wharve and other accompanying activities for both small and big.
Ceramics from clay to burning
This year´s main theme will be ceramics. In the castle courtyard we will introduce you to the production process from the choice of clay, to the shaping of, for example, tiles or kitchenware to the actual burning.
Cooking and tasting of medieval beer
Yours tastes buds will surely satisfy the opportunity of tasting medieval beer, which will be cooked here and will give a taste the monks from Břevnov brewery. There will also be some delicious snacks prepared in our medieval oven.
Medieval herbalism
In order to stay behind with the sense of smell, we have prepared an interesting talk about herbs used in the Middle Ages.
The lecture start at 11:15, 13:15 and 15:15.
Contemporary music
After two days we will be entertained and accompany in the castle courtyard with the band Benedictus.
The beginning of the musical performance is always at 10:15, 12:15, 14:15 and 16:15.
Accompanying activities
There will be no accompanying activities such as mintage, seals production, scriptorium or archery. All in the courtyard of Kašperk Castle.
Guided tours
There will be prepared the tour Life at the castle and Castle Construction.
Life at the castle: 10:30 – 16:00 (each 30 minutes) Castle Construction: 11:45, 12:45, 13:45 and 14:45
On Friday and Saturday is the tour in German language at 11:00. On Sunday is the tour in English language at 11:00.
